Inner Tip No. 9

Look beyond the immediate
to find the deeper meaning.

This tip is really about finding your faith and trusting it. Call upon any higher powers that have significance for you, and ask for guidance to be able to see the deeper meaning of events in your own life and in the world at large.

Imagine looking down at the Earth from outer space and being able to sense the unseen forces constantly at work for the greatest good of all creation. Applying a "big picture" perspective to your thoughts and actions helps you gain a sense of inner peace.

Quote from Living in Balance, by Joel Levey and Michelle Levey

"As living whole systems, we are endowed with miraculous capacities for sensory discovery of our world, creative physical movement and communication, a broad bandwidth of emotions, an inconceivable capability for creative imagination, intelligence, and thinking, and a nervous system with an extraordinary ability for intuitive discernment of systems dynamics at a far greater breadth and depth than mere thinking or ordinary perception can ascertain."

"At our heart and core, inseparable from the rest, is a quality of radiant and receptive presence – a creative and compassionate intelligence that defies description. In the English language we regard this as ‘consciousness’ in the psychological sense, or ‘Spirit,’ the animating force within all things, if we assume a more spiritual point of view. Being universal in proportions, it transcends the narrow confines of our personal identity."

"We are multidimensional human beings—all other arenas of human endeavor will be handicapped without drawing inspiration from the full spectrum of our humanity."
