Inner
Tip No. 1
Take short relaxation
breaks
to let go of tension.
This is easy when you remember to use
your breath as your guide. Whenever you notice you are getting stressed or
anxious, just (1) stop and pause for a moment, (2) take in a deep breath, and (3) slowly
exhale, releasing any tension you may be carrying. Use spare moments throughout the day to
breathe away tension or to recall pleasant images and memories that will help soothe you.
You can also practice relaxation guided imagery to
calm your mind and body. By reducing your overall anxiety level in these ways, you will be
better able to deal with stressful information and world events.

Transcript of Track 3, Magical
Moments:
"What we are seeking is to become more
fully and wholly alive. As each of us looks through the scrapbook of past experience, we
will each find certain moments that stand out and sparkle in our memory ... fond
recollections of such magical moments. Most of these likely these came unexpectedly in the
midst of ordinary activities."
"Can you remember the sense of beauty and wonder that filled you one sunset?
Recall the healing serenity and deep relaxation of dozing in the sun by a stream or on the
beach. Think about the effortless flow of energy and attention that enabled you to succeed
at some difficult task. Feel the intimate sense of tenderness and the sense of belonging
that welled up within you at some special moment when you were alone with nature, or while
holding a child or loved one."
"Each of us has experienced special moments that have revealed to us the magic,
mystery, and potential of our lives ... moments that have allowed us to know, to feel, and
to live more deeply and completely. Most likely they came as if by grace or luck, and
vanished, leaving us longing to recapture them. Though these moments may now remain as
only memories, they serve as glimpses of the true potentials of our mind and body.
Learning and practicing dynamic relaxation will help you approach the threshold of this
domain of extraordinary experience more easily and frequently."
"Remember as you practice, relaxation is not something that you do. It is a
natural response that you allow to happen. Relaxation is the positive state of
well being that emerges when you stop creating tension."
